No. 24 Miami Volleyball Faces Clemson

The Miami Hurricanes volleyball team (11-1, 1-0 ACC) faces off against Clemson (12-1, 0-1 ACC) Sunday with their 11-game win streak on the line against a Tigers’ team which just lost its first match of the season.

Miami entered the Top 25 last weekend after winning its 10th match in a row, and the Canes picked up their first conference win of the season over Georgia Tech earlier this week. Clemson went unbeaten in the non-conference but opened ACC play with a loss to Florida State in four sets to snap a 12-game winning streak.

Kennedy Wagner leads the Tigers with 200 kills on the season, while McKenna Gildon takes the defensive lead with 217 digs. While Clemson’s 12-1 record looks intimidating, the Tigers haven’t beaten a major-conference team in straight sets all season. The ‘Canes have the edge on paper going into the matchup.

Clemson marks the third stop on a five-game road trip for the Canes. After visiting FIU and Georgia Tech, will next head to North Carolina to face NC State and Wake Forest before returning home. With no ranked teams on the schedule in that span, the October 10 matchup against No. 5 Pittsburgh in Coral Gables could have huge implications in the ACC and nationally.
