Hurricanes stay in Top 12 despite first loss of the season
The Miami Hurricanes fell to No. 9 in the latest AP Poll released Sunday after falling to the Louisville Cardinals Friday night. The 24-21 defeat marked the first loss of the season for the ‘Canes and the first time Miami fans saw major problems in more than one area of the team. Louisville entered the Top 25 for the first time this season at No. 19.
Other notable rankings include No. 7 Georgia Tech, which jumped up five spots after beating Duke to hop into the driver’s seat in the ACC. Virginia jumped up two spots to No. 16.
Miami gets an extra day off to recover from the Friday loss and next faces Stanford in a chance for Carson Beck and the ‘Canes to bounce back.
