Miami Volleyball Ranked No. 15 In Latest Top 25

The Hurricanes drop a spot after falling to No. 5 Stanford last weekend

The Miami Hurricanes volleyball team dropped one spot to No. 15 in the country in the latest AVCA rankings released Monday afternoon. The ‘Canes lost their third match in a row Sunday afternoon to No. 5 Stanford on the road after getting reverse swept by Cal to start the weekend.

The recent losses give Miami a major dose of adversity; the Hurricanes won 15 matches in a row before dropping the last three. The squad will get a chance to regroup over the next weeks as the ‘Canes play their next five matches at home (vs. Virginia Tech, Virginia, Boston College, Syracuse, and Florida State). That’s five straight at home against unranked teams, and the team won’t have another road match until it makes the short trip (by ACC travel standards) to Tallahassee to face Florida State in a second straight match November 8.

Miami will hope to get back in the win column Friday night against Virginia Tech at 7 p.m. ET.
