TRASH: Miami’s Uniforms Take A Beating Online During Win Over Stanford

The trolls came out in full force to hate on the camo

Miami beat Stanford, 42-7 to improve to 6-1 Saturday, but the strong showing got overshadowed by the Hurricanes’ attire for the matchup. Miami went with the camo look for it’s Military Appreciation Game, and people had thoughts:

The uniforms didn’t exactly live up to the standards of swagger that “The U” has become known for over the years. These just lacked any sort of real identity, and they blended in with the turf on the TV broadcast.

The camouflage jerseys blended in… who would’ve thought?

To be fair to The U, the initial mockups of these jerseys looked much better than the final product.

That doesn’t look bad. It doesn’t look great, and would’ve still been hard to see on your screen, and I still would’ve gone back to the drawing board if I had the final say, but it looks much better than what we saw Saturday night. Those jerseys have a real camouflage, while the ones in-game looked like an ugly green.

Support the troops, and do it by wearing ugly uniforms if you want — just don’t expect the internet to let it slide.
