Miami stayed active on the 2029 recruiting board with a scholarship offer to Kingston Fatu, one of the early West Coast names to land on the Hurricanes’ radar.
Recruiting outlets list Fatu as an “athlete” in the 2029 class from Tustin, Calif., measuring in at 6-foot-1 and 175 pounds.
The on-field flashes have already showed up. Fatu snagged a 76-yard pick-six during Tustin’s postseason game against Rancho Cucamonga. A 247Sports camp write-up from last year mentioned Fatu working at wide receiver and hauling in difficult catches during one-on-ones.
Fatu got recent offers from Arizona, Oregon State and Cal, among others, before Miami jumped into the mix, according to 247Sports. An early footprint plus Miami’s entry usually signals a player with traits that translate outside the region.
Miami will push for a campus visit, get Fatu around the building, then keep him tied to the program through spring evaluations and summer camp circuits. The Hurricanes don’t need to win a commitment now; they need to win access, trust and a return trip.
