Miami offers rising 2028 linebacker Cale Britt

Miami added another in-state name to its 2028 recruiting board by offering Cale Britt, a rising linebacker from Bishop Moore Catholic in Orlando.

Britt gives the Hurricanes a long-range target with the kind of frame Mario Cristobal’s staff should chase early. On3 lists him at 6-foot-3 and 207 pounds, and his offer sheet already includes Miami, Florida State, Arkansas, Georgia Tech, UCLA, Virginia Tech, Wisconsin and UCF.

Britt checks in as the No. 332 overall prospect, No. 21 linebacker and No. 48 player in Florida in the 247Sports Composite. He logged 118 tackles, four tackles for loss and three sacks during his sophomore season, per FSUWire.

Britt plays with range, length and enough multi-sport athleticism to project beyond a normal high school linebacker. High School On SI noted that Britt came back to football after focusing on lacrosse and previously played tight end and wide receiver, experience that shows in space on defense.

Miami can pitch Britt on development under Corey Hetherman, who has built a track record of success in short time. The offer also keeps Miami active in Central Florida, a region that produces ACC and SEC talent every cycle. Britt still has two high school seasons left, so his recruitment could get much bigger before decision day. Miami’s early move gives the Hurricanes a chance to build the relationship.
