Miami finalized kickoff times for its 2026 soccer schedule Tuesday, completing a 17-game regular-season calendar that begins Aug. 12 at Jacksonville. The Hurricanes will play their first four matches away from Cobb Stadium before opening the home schedule against Incarnate Word on Aug. 27.
The completed schedule sends Miami to Jacksonville for a 7 p.m. opener, followed by trips to Florida Atlantic, Little Rock and Lipscomb. The early travel gives a roster with 16 newcomers immediate tests in communication, recovery and game management.
Miami’s home debut against Incarnate Word is set for 7 p.m. The Hurricanes also host Appalachian State at 7 p.m. on Sept. 3 before visiting FIU three days later. Those nonconference matches give the staff a short window to establish combinations before ACC play begins.
The conference opener brings SMU to Cobb Stadium at 7 p.m. on Sept. 11. Miami then travels to Virginia and NC State, creating a demanding first ACC sequence. A strong home opener matters because the two road matches leave less room to repair an early result.
Clemson visits at 7 p.m. on Sept. 24. Miami follows with a trip to Pittsburgh, then hosts Wake Forest at 1 p.m. on Oct. 10. The alternating rhythm can help recovery, but it also asks the Hurricanes to switch quickly between night matches, travel and an afternoon start.
The final stretch includes a home date with Iona on Oct. 18, Boston College at home on Oct. 23 and Florida State at Cobb Stadium on Nov. 1. Miami closes the regular season at Notre Dame on Nov. 5. The rivalry match and the trip to South Bend give the schedule a difficult finish before postseason selections.
Fifteen players return from last season, while 11 freshmen and five transfers enter the program. The imbalance makes the first month especially important. Coaches need enough experimentation to learn the roster without allowing changing lineups to prevent players from building timing.

A 7 p.m. start avoids some of the afternoon heat and gives students more time to arrive, while the team still must handle humidity and a fast recovery window. Consistent attendance can matter for a young team learning to manage momentum, especially during conference games decided by one set piece or late defensive stop.
A completed calendar offers no guarantee about results, but it clarifies the path. Miami must survive four road matches before its home debut, establish an ACC foothold against SMU and carry enough depth into a closing stretch with Florida State and Notre Dame.
