Miami Extends Scholarship Offer To 2029 RB Cayden Gould

Miami has moved into another early recruitment with a scholarship offer to IMG Academy 2029 running back Cayden Gould.

Gould announced Tuesday that he had received an offer from the Hurricanes, giving Miami a place in a recruitment that has started to gain Power Four attention.

The 6-foot, 197-pound recruit plays at IMG Academy in Bradenton. 247Sports lists Gould with 12 offers, including Miami, Florida State, California, Michigan and SMU.

Miami has not waited until prospects become national names to send offers out. The Hurricanes have pushed early with underclassmen they like, especially in Florida, and tried to build relationships before rankings catch up. Gould gives Miami another young in-state skill player to track in the coming years.

Gould has not earned a 247Sports ranking yet, which makes sense this early in the cycle. Services still have years of evaluation ahead before they sort that class, but his offer list shows college staffs have already noticed his frame and upside. Miami already has 47 offers in the 2029 class, including multiple running backs.

Michigan offered Gould last week. Since then, his list has expanded, and Miami has now entered before the recruitment gets too crowded.

Miami has recruited the Bradenton powerhouse IMG Academy hard under Cristobal. Gould will practice and play in one of the most talent-rich environments in the country, which gives Miami coaches plenty of chances to evaluate him against elite competition.

This won’t turn into a major recruiting battle yet. Gould has not reached the point where visits, finalists or commitment timelines will dominate the discussion. This stage centers on evaluation, communication and relationship-building.

Gould now has Miami on his offer sheet before his sophomore season. That gives the Hurricanes time to make an impression, bring him to campus and show him how he could fit in their offense.
