Miami Flips Another Corner In Former Oregon Commit Ai’King Hall

Mario Cristobal and his staff grabbed another national recruiting win Sunday, landing a commitment flip from Top 100 cornerback Ai’King Hall. The Dothan, Ala., standout backed off Oregon and turned to Miami, giving the Hurricanes another blue-chip piece for the 2027 class.

Hall committed to Oregon on April 6 after a spring visit and rapid recruiting surge that produced offers from the usual heavyweights. Miami never stopped pushing, and Hall’s weekend swing through Coral Gables finish the job.

Hall carries ranks No. 73 in the 247Sports Composite, checks in as the No. 9 cornerback, and leads the state of Alabama. He stands 5-foot-11 and weighs 190 pounds, with track speed that shows up on Friday nights.

Miami targeted that speed-and-twitch profile for a reason. Hall plays with patient feet at the line, stays connected through route stems, and closes throwing windows with burst. Special teams value also follows, thanks to that track background and open-field range.

The Hurricanes already grabbed five-star corner Donte Wright earlier this month, and that move helped push Miami into the national top tier in the Rivals Industry team rankings. Miami currently sits No. 6 nationally with 13 commitments on that board, and Hall only adds more.
