Miami football has extended a scholarship offer to Antavion Allen, a 2028 defensive lineman from Hattiesburg High School in Mississippi. Allen announced the Miami offer on X
Allen brings the kind of profile Mario Cristobal’s staff loves to see early. He carries a college-ready frame, with recruiting profiles listing him around 6-foot-4 to 6-foot-5 and roughly 289 to 295 pounds.
247Sports recently placed Allen as the No. 93 overall prospect, No. 11 defensive lineman and No. 2 player in Mississippi in the 2028 class. Allen’s offer sheet backs that up. On3 lists Alabama, Ole Miss, Arkansas, Florida State and Mississippi State among the programs involved, while Auburn also offered him in February. In-state SEC pressure from Ole Miss and Mississippi State will matter. Alabama, Auburn, Florida State and others will not back off either.
Still, Miami did what it needed to do by entering early. The Canes now have time to build the relationship, get Allen to campus and sell him on development in a defensive line room with NFL Hall-Of-Fame experience on staff.
