Miami has joined a rapidly expanding recruitment for 2029 Westside wide receiver Jaedon “Jae” White.
White, a 6-foot-1, 190-pound prospect from Anderson, South Carolina, already holds offers from programs across the ACC, SEC and Big Ten landscape. His list includes Miami, Florida, Georgia, Georgia Tech, North Carolina, Notre Dame, Ole Miss, Oregon, Tennessee, Texas A&M, USC, Virginia Tech and Wake Forest, among others.
The offer list reflects White’s athletic profile.
White plays wide receiver for Westside but also carries an athlete designation in some recruiting contexts. His social media profile lists a 10.85-second time in the 100 meters, giving him verified track speed to pair with a sturdy frame.
Recruiting services have already taken notice. Rivals and 247Sports each currently grade White as a four-star prospect, according to Irish Sports Daily.
His recruitment has accelerated throughout 2026.
White announced offers from Oregon, Georgia, Tennessee, Ole Miss and several other major programs during the spring and summer. North Carolina and Michigan entered the race this week, while Notre Dame extended its offer Thursday.
Miami now has another lengthy recruitment ahead.
White fits the type of receiver profile Miami frequently targets: enough size to handle contact, enough speed to challenge defenses vertically and enough athletic versatility to create mismatches throughout a formation.
The Hurricanes will need to establish staying power, however.
South Carolina prospects attract heavy attention from programs throughout the Southeast, and White’s offer list already includes several annual College Football Playoff contenders. His recruitment could grow much larger before his junior season arrives.
That makes Miami’s early move significant.
Recruiting prospects three classes ahead requires patience, but early offers can create familiarity before official visits and commitment timelines take shape. Miami now has the opportunity to bring White to Coral Gables, introduce him to the program’s offensive vision and build relationships before his recruitment reaches another level.
The Hurricanes have pursued size and explosiveness at receiver throughout Cristobal’s tenure. White already checks both boxes despite his youth.
His development over the next several seasons will determine how high his national ranking climbs.
Miami apparently doesn’t want to wait before entering the chase.
